Every action is one labelled step, so undo takes back exactly what you did — a whole markup, a whole page move — and the Edit menu names it. Saving adds your changes to the original file without rewriting it: what you started from stays untouched, a document you did not edit is saved exactly as you opened it, and an existing digital signature survives a Save (but not a Save As or Export — see §2).
